If you looking Photoshop tutorial especiallay adding glass effect to text, I suggest you check this tutorial from luxa. They provide good step by step tutorial Smooth Glass Type. I like it. The effect looks so cool and so fresh 
. They also provide the PSD file. That would be helpfull for new beginner when try to learn it.
